Le décorateur Sebastián Salazar est célèbre en Argentine, où il a créé Salazar Casa. C'est sa maison des années 1970 qu'il a rénové que nous découvrons ici. Il avait de nombreuses idées pour le faire, mais il a du attendre quelques années pour enfin avoir sa maison de rêve. Avec un nouveau choix de revêtements de sol (l'ancien était gris foncé), la maison est devenue lumineuse, les espaces ont été ouverts et redistribués, et désormais on y trouve une décoration contemporaine et personnelle.
L'équilibre entre tons naturels et couleurs est réussi, le vert est omniprésent, et rappelle les vues sur le jardin. Les murs et les plafonds ont été peints en blanc pour augmenter encore cette impression de luminosité qui manquait autrefois avec les menuiseries en bois sombre. Après s'être occupé du jardin et de l'installation d'une piscine pour achever son oeuvre, on peut dire qu'aux yeux de son propriétaire, cette maison des années 1970 est désormais parfaite. He had many ideas to do so, but had to wait a few years to finally have his dream home. With a new choice of flooring (the old one was dark grey), the house has become bright, the spaces have been opened up and redistributed, and there is now a contemporary and personal decor.
The balance between natural tones and colours is successful, with green being omnipresent and reminiscent of the views over the garden. The walls and ceilings have been painted white to increase the sense of brightness that was previously missing with the dark woodwork.
