A natural-fiber rug covers the steps of the staircase leading upstairs.
The living room is located to the right of the entrance. It is lit by a characteristic bow window. And although it is compact, it is full of charm, with ceiling moldings that accentuate its height. The room exudes a bucolic English style, featuring a fawn-colored leather Chesterfield sofa. It feels warm and cozy near a black fireplace framed by white tiles, atop which rests a large winter garden-style mirror.
The living room opens onto the kitchen, where blue is the dominant color. Its simply designed cabinets are topped with a polished concrete countertop. A central solid-wood island, mounted on casters, serves both as an additional surface for meal preparation and as a high table with two stools. A retro-style range fits into a niche lined with white ceramic tiles. It occupies the space formerly reserved for the coal-fired oven.

The third, smaller room now serves as a walk-in closet, a practical solution for a house of this size. Each bedroom is lit by a sash window offering a view of the city’s rooftops. The floors are made of raw wood that has been simply sanded and varnished.
