This Parisian duplex with a courtyard is the perfect setting for the new Zara Home collection
Zara Home showcases its Pure Form collection in a bright Parisian duplex with a courtyard. Materials are at the heart of every room
Zara Home has a knack for choosing its settings. This season, the Spanish brand has taken over this Parisian duplex with a courtyard to showcase its new “Pure Form” collection. It’s a setting tailor-made to display the new pieces in the collection.
It is the living room, viewed from above on the upper floor, that first catches our eye. A wide, low white sofa covered in linen sits on a brown-and-ivory striped rug. In front of it, you notice two anthracite metal coffee tables with nearly flush tops. A brick-red lacquered chair stands out against this neutral-toned ensemble, the sole splash of bright color. The paved courtyard is visible through the lattice-paned French doors.
Next, you enter the dining room. A solid wood table with X-shaped legs stands next to a monumental black-lacquered Chinese cabinet, steeped in history. The contrast with the immaculate walls and the cream-colored polished concrete floor is striking. The long walnut sideboard runs the full width of the wall. On top, a brushed metal lamp, a matte black stoneware bowl, and a single-flower ceramic vase have been placed.
It is on the first floor that wood takes center stage even more. The bedroom is organized around large walnut panels that cover doors, headboards, and storage units as a single, continuous surface. A crinkled cotton bedspread, in a warm ecru, contrasts with the suspended chrome metal shelf serving as a nightstand, minimalist to the extreme.
The bathroom holds the biggest surprise. A niche entirely clad in veined green marble, likely Calacatta Verde, exudes luxury, housing a beige alabaster pitcher and a single pumice stone.
A black lacquered vase, placed directly on the floor atop a block of rough stone in front of a walnut cabinet. Translucent blown-glass vases on a dark wood dining table. A brick-red Berber rug in front of the sideboard. In this Parisian duplex with a courtyard, the brand’s “Pure Form” collection (available by clicking this link) is showcased without needing to overdo it.
