Dans les Hamptons, cette maison de plage familiale post-moderne a trouvé une nouvelle vie grâce à une rénovation inspirée du design scandinave
À Amagansett, dans les Hamptons, cette maison de plage familiale post-moderne a totalement changé de visage. Les architectes de TBD Architecture et le studio Jessica Helgerson Interior Design ont repensé chaque pièce pour créer une maison épurée mais accueillante. Derrière la façade classique de la région, les professionnels ont presque tout déplacé. Le plan initial de cette maison de 300m2 ne correspondait plus aux habitudes de cette famille de cinq personnes. Les espaces ont donc été redessinés afin de créer une circulation logique. Le projet passe ainsi de deux chambres à quatre chambres, mieux adaptées à cette famille avec enfants. Un salon avec canapés intégrés a été créé à chaque niveau pour permettre de se reposer.
La cuisine profite d’un agrandissement grâce à l’ancien porche fermé et transformé en surface intérieure. Ce changement permet d'avoir une pièce centrale ouverte sur la salle à manger. Les concepteurs ont choisi une palette très simple qui laisse reposer la vue. Le bois clair dialogue avec le bois peint en blanc et le carrelage artisanal. Quelques touches de marbre et de laiton ajoutent une note élégante et discrète. Le mobilier s’inspire du design danois, avec des pièces intemporelles complétées par quelques créations contemporaines. De nouvelles fenêtres et un éclairage repensé renforcent la luminosité générale. Cette rénovation a transformé cette maison de plage familiale en refuge de bord de mer agréable. In Amagansett, in the Hamptons, this post-modern family beach house has been completely transformed. The architects at TBD Architecture and Jessica Helgerson Interior Design studio redesigned every room to create a sleek yet welcoming home. Behind the classic façade typical of the region, the professionals moved almost everything around. The original layout of this 300m2 house no longer suited the lifestyle of this family of five. Spaces were therefore redesigned to create a logical flow. The project thus went from two bedrooms to four bedrooms, better suited to this family with children. A lounge with built-in sofas was created on each level to allow for relaxation.
The kitchen has been enlarged by converting the old enclosed porch into an interior space. This change has created a central room that opens onto the dining room. The designers chose a very simple colour palette that is easy on the eye. Light wood contrasts with white-painted wood and handmade tiles. A few touches of marble and brass add an elegant and discreet note. The furniture is inspired by Danish design, with timeless pieces complemented by a few contemporary creations. New windows and redesigned lighting enhance the overall brightness. This renovation has transformed the house into a pleasant seaside retreat. Photo: Matthew Williams
