La rénovation à Buenos Aires de l'appartement d' une architecte l'a transformé en espace moderne et lumineux, parfaitement repensé
A Buenos Aires en Argentine, l'architecte Joaquina Echaide a visité pas moins de 40 appartements. Elle désirait des caractéristiques bien spécifiques, comme l'ancienneté du bâtiment, et du volume. L'architecte a fini par découvrir celui-ci, en plein cœur du quartier de Belgrano, qui correspondait totalement à ses besoins. Elle a été séduite par les volumes généreux de cet appartement situé dans un immeuble du 20e siècle, et par la lumière traversante. Cette rénovation à Buenos Aires a transformé ce lieu en un appartement lumineux et remarquablement fonctionnel. Ici, elle a conservé l’esprit d’origine tout en repensant les usages.
Ce projet a été mené avec Darío Graschinsky, son associé du studio Darío y Joaquina. Ensemble, ils ont imaginé un lieu pratique et agréable au quotidien. Les circulations sont claires, les perspectives ouvertes, et le mobilier provient de designers argentins et internationaux. Joaquina partage aujourd’hui sa vie entre Buenos Aires et Berlin, où vit son compagnon architecte. L’appartement devait donc fonctionner aussi bien seul qu’à deux, tout en accueillant régulièrement des amis. Cette rénovation à Buenos Aires a débuté par une réorganisation des pièces d’eau, avec l’ajout de toilettes indépendantes. Le cœur du projet repose sur l’intégration du salon, de la cuisine et de la salle à manger. La cuisine conserve son implantation mais gagne en ouverture et en générosité. In Buenos Aires, Argentina, architect Joaquina Echaide visited no fewer than 40 flats. She wanted specific features, such as an old building and plenty of space. The architect finally found this one, in the heart of the Belgrano neighbourhood, which perfectly met her needs. She was won over by the generous proportions of this flat in a 20th-century building and by the natural light that floods through. This renovation in Buenos Aires has transformed the space into a bright and remarkably functional flat. Here, she has preserved the original spirit while rethinking its uses.
This project was carried out with Darío Graschinsky, her partner at the Darío y Joaquina studio. Together, they imagined a practical and pleasant place for everyday living. The circulation is clear, the perspectives are open, and the furniture comes from Argentine and international designers. Joaquina now divides her time between Buenos Aires and Berlin, where her architect partner lives. The flat therefore had to work equally well for one or two people, while regularly welcoming friends. This renovation in Buenos Aires began with a reorganisation of the bathrooms, with the addition of a separate toilet. The heart of the project is the integration of the living room, kitchen and dining room. The kitchen retains its layout but gains in openness and generosity.
