Pour la première fois, le couple a quitté Waco, au Texas, afin de mener ce chantier inédit. Construite en bois dans les années 1960, la maison présentait un fort potentiel architectural. La cuisine a pris place dans l’ancien salon et est devenue le cœur vivant de la maison. Cette transformation a permis d’installer une grande table en bois pouvant accueillir douze convives. Cette pièce centrale incarne pleinement l’esprit familial et chaleureux du projet. À l’extérieur, le vert profond des façades s’accorde naturellement avec le paysage environnant. With this project outside Texas, Chip and Joanna Gaines have undertaken an ambitious renovation for their family. They have transformed a mountain home in the American Rockies.
