Les propriétaires de cette maison en meulière près de Paris, ont été tout d'abord locataires des lieux pendant huit ans avant de pouvoir l'acheter. La maison avec sa charmante façade de pierre issue des carrières de la région parisienne, largement utilisée dans la première moitié du 20e siècle nécessitait d'être revue en profondeur pour convenir au mieux au couple et à leurs quatre enfants. Devant l'ampleur du chantier, ils ont fait appel à Archibien qui les a mis en contact avec trois architectes afin de définir leur projet. L'emplacement de cette maison étant parfait pour la famille, et le jardin idéal pour les enfants, il était judicieux de réaliser des travaux plutôt que de déménager?
Passé par un appel d'offres d'architectes, le choix du couple s'est finalement porté sur la proposition du studio Antoine Decourt Architecture, qui a su leur proposer la modernisation de cette maison en meulière, tout en lui conservant son charme indéniable, et en l'adaptant à leur vie quotidienne et moderne de jeune couple dynamique. Les pièces de vie orientées au nord ont été rendues plus lumineuses grâce à des jeux de verrières intérieures. L'espace a été optimisé avec une meilleure exploitation des combles. Les chambres des enfants et la zone parentale sont assez isolées pour que chacun puisse avoir son intimité. Que demander de plus? The owners of this millstone house near Paris initially rented the property for eight years before being able to buy it. The house, with its charming façade of stone quarried in the Paris region and widely used in the first half of the 20th century, needed a major overhaul to suit the couple and their four children. Given the scale of the project, they turned to Archibien, who put them in touch with three architects to define their plans. The location of the house was perfect for the family, and the garden ideal for the children, so it made sense to carry out work rather than move house?
The choice fell on the Antoine Decourt Architecture studio, which was able to propose a modernisation of this millstone house, while retaining its undeniable charm and adapting it to their modern daily life as a young dynamic couple. The north-facing living rooms have been made even brighter by the use of interior glazed partitions. Space has been optimised by making better use of the attic space. The children's bedrooms and the parents' area are sufficiently secluded for everyone to have their own privacy. What more could you ask for?
